This is our current work and pieces of our thoughts. We live in Tulsa, Oklahoma but are well travelled and will go anywhere you want to take us. Our new blog will be ready in just a few weeks! We'll leave this one up for a bit with a link to it since nothing can transfer over - boo hoo! If there's a favorite post in here you want us to repost in the new blog, drop me a line or ring me and I'll move it over when the time is here.

Long Distance Romance - but not today

I must be the luckiest person in the world! First - I get to do what I absolutely love for a living and then I have the MOST beautiful brides (and the grooms aren't bad either I might add) in the world. Today I had an engagement session with the cutest couple who are at present maintaining a Vegas to Norman romance until their fall wedding. They're like the daily double on dimples - just gorgeous! They got to spend the holiday weekend together and took time out for me - see how lucky I am? Hope to see you in Vegas later this summer for your bridals and I can hardly wait to get more great photos of you two together. Thanks so much!

On the Road Again

In just a few minutes I could see why this couple was getting married. They truly enjoy each other - make each other laugh - and just have fun together. That usually makes for a good marriage! I had such a great time with you guys. Practice that leaning thing, okay? :-) Can't wait for the wedding - and the band!

EUREKA!

This weekend was a blast! We were in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, for the wedding of Lynn and Josh. An intimate wedding at The Thorncrown Chapel followed by a spectacular reception in the Conservatory at The Historic Crescent Hotel and a nightcap on the roof at Dr. Bakers. A fun time was had by all and every detail was attended -- it was beautiful. Thanks for having us and taking such good care of us. We wish you a lifetime of happiness together! Lisa & Jay

Greg & Nicole - Married at last!

May 13th was the wedding day of Nicole and Greg. After many last minute catastrophes with hair, dresses, purses and all, they are--at last--husband and wife! A beautiful ceremony at Holy Family followed by a magnificent reception at The Petroleum Club in downtown Tulsa was a great time for all! Congratulations Nicole and Greg! We wish you many blessings in your lives together. Thank you for letting us be part of your special day.

Celebrations

The Tivoli Inn in Broken Arrow was the site of a beautiful Rehearsal Dinner for Greg and Nicole. The night was clear, soft harp music and toasts from their friends and family made it complete. They're ready to become husband and wife tonight at 7 o'clock and begin their lives together. Congratulations!

Tiny Dancer

Trying to get a picture of these two cousins in their Easter dresses for the grandmother proved very challenging! Made me remember why I don't do those kind of pictures - ha ha! Brooklyn had tiny pink ballet slippers and even though she can't stand up yet, she looked like a tiny dancer in all her poofy pink and slippers. So sweet. We did get a few "just life" photos while they were getting dressed and just playing together. I'm sure they'll be best friends!

Family life

The sweetest, happiest family was here today. 2 darling boys who are the happiest boys I've seen in a while! They are a close and God-centered family who shine His light very brightly. It was a pleasure to photograph you guys and you're so right - you are very blessed.

These two are getting married in June! But have you ever been around people that seem like they've been together forever? Like they were just made for each other? Michelle and Eric are like that. they are just perfect for each other and they are so comfortable and fun together. Can't wait to shoot the wedding!

Won't be long now

I love this "baby" picture. Pretty soon I'll have another brand new baby (with a beautiful mom) to play with in my studio! I love my life!

Morgan's Day in the Park

Try to make the tulips this time of year and WOW, you better be quick. There was line on Good Friday and by Tuesday they were gone. Oh well - I'm planting them next year for myself! Little Morgan was just one year old last month so everything is new to her in the Springtime. She's wasn't thrilled w/having her picture taken but thank goodness her parents are pretty laid back and let her play in the water - which she loved. made a mess of her pretty little dress but a wet dress and a happy baby are always better than a dry dress and tears, don't you agree?

To the Dogs!

My engagement sessions have just "gone to the dogs". Ha ha. Saturday of Easter weekend I had so much fun shooting this couple with their two English Mastiffs - Clarabelle, a/k/a "CB" and Clyde (he's just a pup!) at the Rock Room at Chandler Park. They were two of the best behaved dogs I've ever worked with (that's a lot BTW) and beautiful too. Oh, yeah the bride and groom are no slouches either! Thanks Stacy and Jeff!

Waylon - 4 days old

Is there anything sweeter than a brand new baby? I just can't think of it if there is. This little boy was born on Monday when I was in Vegas and he was in my studio on Friday morning. I love it! He just sleeps mostly but we did manage to ruffle his feathers a little and get a couple "cry shots". He is so perfect. God is good.

LAS Vegas Conference - I'm Baaack!

Almost a week in Vegas is LONG time - it might even be related to dog years in some way I think. Anyway I just got back from the Wedding and Portrait Photographers Conference and got to meet a lot of other photographers with whom I'd only "seen" online before. that's always fun! I received an Award of Excellence in the print competition for a fine art photograph I entered and got lots of info on the latest tech stuff for photographers. I got to lust after the new camera equipment and lenses and even squeeze in a few hands of blackjack (don't even ask). No matter where I go or for how long or for what reason, I am always soooo glad to be home. I love my home! I love my life!

Spring Love!

We had such a great time with Keli and John this past Sunday! The June bride - Keli is the quintessential Ivory girl, which is what we all wanted to be in the 70's and still do today! Beautiful. I've got a bunch of "camera shy" grooms this spring - I don't get it - why wouldn't you want your photograph taken if you looked like this? Can't wait for these weddings!

Engagement shoot Today

We had such beautiful weather today! I had an engagement shoot with a couple whom I had never met before today. I had a blast. I can't wait to shoot their wedding - they're really fun and so cute with each other. Thanks so much for a fun, fun afternoon, Greg and Nicole!

Workshop in Phoenix

I went to a wonderful photography workshop this February in Phoenix - Anthem, actually, hosted by award-winning photographer Michele Celentano. It was nice to get out of here just when the ice flurries kicked in! Of course I ran down a sushi bar and met several other photographers all working to improve their craft just like me! We had a "model couple" and got some practice shooting in several different situations - it was great. Here's a few pics.'

Power Outage in my own backyard!

Last Saturday morning, some weekend warrior neighbor of ours with a 6-pack and chainsaw toppled a tree over onto the power lines and snapping the pole off at the top. We had no power all day and up until around 11:30 p.m. The pole was in the ravine behind my house and not the easiest place to get to but the PSO power guys were awesome. I came home and they were surrounding my house with trucks and lights - it was pretty neat. I just had to take some photos. No tripod on me - thank goodness I had my IS 70-200 though!

Sunset in Anthem

We were losing our natural light but the sky was so beautiful - the pink and orange - reminded me of home.

Okay - Here it is!

Here she is - Tatum. She's almost 11 months old now but this is a recap. The cutest face! Notice that somewhere between 6 months and 9 months she was turned on to jewelry.
